I love new construction!
I started working in new construction when I was in my 20's over 30 years ago. Working for mostly large national home builders I learned so much...there is so much to know! Learning to read blueprints and grading plans, understanding construction processes and practices were the tools I needed to do my job. I also had to know about building materials, the different grades of lumber, stick built versus engineered trusses, silent floor system versus floor trusses, the importance of expansion joints in concrete, the importance of ventilated soffits, the importance of proper grading and drainage and the list goes on. Not only did I learn the practices and materials used by the builders that I worked for, I also had to know about my competition. I always say..."Not all square footage is created equally".
